Il y a deux choses à retenir concernant une œuvre à succès : elle sera adaptée par Hollywood et elle sera parodiée. C'est le cas de Millénium, la célèbre trilogie de romans policiers écrite par le suédois Stieg Larsson. Déjà adaptée par son pays d'origine, elle aura droit à une version américaine (au moins pour le premier tome) dès l'année prochaine, sous la supervision de David Fincher.
Mais où est la fantasy dans tout cela ? Il faudra chercher du côté de la parodie sur laquelle travaille actuellement Adam Roberts, familier du genre (il s'est déjà attaqué au Hobbit, au Silmarillion, à Star Wars, à Matrix ou encore au Da Vinci Code et certains de ses romans sont d'ailleurs parus en France chez Bragelonne). Inspiré par le titre anglais du premier tome, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, il a écrit sa propre version : The Dragon with the Girl Tattoo. Le titre est assez explicite : Lisbeth Salander devient Lizbreath Salamander, une jeune et belle dragonne qui se retrouve plongée au sein d'une conspiration après la disparition d'un dragon appartenant à un mystérieux clan.
The Dragon with the Girl Tattoo est attendu pour le 18 novembre de l'autre côté de la Manche.
